Trabzon Airport will be closed to flights for 6 hours due to runway repair works.

Due to runway repair and maintenance works at Trabzon Airport, flights will be stopped between 15-10.00 on December 16.00.

According to the information received from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, after the temporary repair of the rupture and deterioration that occurred on August 23 at two points of the asphalt pavement of the runway, the General Directorate of Highways and the contractor construction company worked on the permanent renewal of the damaged parts.

A meeting was held with aircraft companies and ground services companies to determine the date when the asphalt produced in accordance with the technique will be brought to the airport and the damaged parts will be repaired.

At the meeting, it was decided that the work would be carried out between 15-10.00 on Friday, December 16.00, in a way that would not risk flight safety.

Accordingly, airline companies will not operate flights to Trabzon Airport between these hours.
