Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality expands its transportation fleet every year. Continuing its investments for quality and comfortable transportation of citizens, the Metropolitan Municipality gains the satisfaction of its citizens with modern natural gas buses for public transportation services throughout the city. The Metropolitan Municipality, which has put 2020 environmentally friendly buses into service since 219, organized a tender for the purchase of 70 more environmentally friendly buses.
LOWEST BID 844 MILLION 560 THOUSAND TL
3 companies participated in the tender held online at the Metropolitan Tender Hall by submitting bids. BMC Automotive submitted the lowest bid of 844 million 560 thousand TL in the tender where company officials were also present. In the tender in which Otokar Otomotiv offered 1 billion 16 million 559 thousand 140 TL, Anadolu Isuzu Otomotiv submitted an offer of 1 billion 213 million 500 thousand TL. Following the evaluation of the tender commission, a contract will be signed with the winning company. After the contract date, the company that won the tender will deliver 225 buses to the Metropolitan Municipality within 70 days. The buses are planned to be purchased by the end of 2024.
ECO-FRIENDLY, 5 YEAR WARRANTY
Buses with environmentally friendly compressed natural gas fuel (CNG) system have a 5-year spare parts and service warranty. The buses, which have two different sizes with a capacity of 90 and 160 passengers, have fuel economy, ramp traction performance and a more powerful engine system than their counterparts. The buses, which have an urban range of 700 kilometers, will provide safe and comfortable travel with their spacious interior volume.
