Jean-Eric Vergne, two-time Formula E Champion, switched from the DS 4 E-TENSE 225 model he was using to the DS 7 E-Tense 4×4 360, which was specially designed for him.

Formula E champion, DS Automobiles driver Jean-Eric Vergne now drives a DS 7 E-Tense 4×4 360. Just like the DS 4 E-Tense 225 that Jean-Eric Vergne used before, the design of his new car was personalized by DS Design Studio Paris and given a privileged appearance.

Personalization work on the exterior design was carried out by the brand's teams, who tried to follow the driver's instructions to make it unique, "in search of a refined harmony". The work started in DS Design Studio Paris and then continued in DS Performance workshops.

The two-tone coating, which contributes to a sophisticated look in the DS Aero Sport Lounge and DS E-Tense Performance concept cars, also features the elegant new satin gray and gloss black colors extending from the roof to the hood in the DS 7 E-Tense 4×4 360 produced for Jean-Eric Vergne. It combines somehow. Satin gray with metallic and mineral touches covers the entire front and then gradually disappears in stripes, giving way to the regular Pastel Gray offered to DS 7 E-Tense 4×4 360 customers. The overall effect of the design is strengthened with subtle graphic touches on the front bumper of this special car, which has an elegant appearance, highlighting the high-tech DS Light Veil signature that allows light to shine through the body. These slightly contrasting stripes reveal the remarkable dynamism of the front design of the DS 7 E-Tense 4×4 360.

Personalization efforts are also evident on the door mirrors, where two-tone and bi-material coatings of satin gray and gloss black are used. In the profile, the series of stripes applied alternately to the contours give the effect of speed to DS 7 E-Tense 4×4 360, emphasizing the impression of dynamism. The hood badge with the 'JEV' logo on the front hood and the 'JEV 25' logo on the front doors (the race number indicating Jean-Eric Vergne's date of birth) complete this special design. This special DS 7 E-Tense 4×4 360 has a rechargeable hybrid power unit with a total power of 360 HP. The car, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5,6 seconds, also has a 57 percent electric range (WLTP) of 100 kilometers.

Eugenio Franzetti, Director of DS Performance, said: “The design of this unique DS 7 E-TENSE 4×4 360 is the result of the collaboration between DS Performance and DS Design Studio Paris. Designed for our representative and two-time Formula E Champion Jean-Eric Vergne, this vehicle represents the connection between track and road and symbolizes automotive passion.” said.

Vincent Lobry, Head of Colours, Materials and Finishes at DS Automobiles, said: “By working on a two-tone, two-material finish, we added extra dynamism to the design by creating a satin gray finish with a metallic touch to contrast with our standard Pastel Grey. “While the DS 7 E-Tense 4×4 360 to be driven by Jean-Eric Vergne is a unique car, this type of project represents a creative opportunity as part of our future development efforts.” made his assessment.
