Erdoğan stated that they increased the length of the divided road in Rize from 20 kilometers to a total of 191 kilometers, and reminded that they completed the Ovit Tunnel, İyidere-İkizdere Road and Hurmalık Tunnels, and Salarha Tunnel and opened them to traffic.

Stating that they put the completed investments into service today, President Erdoğan said that they officially opened the 3-kilometer section of the Rize-Pehlivantaşı-Kalkandere Road, and that the work on the 36,7-kilometer-long Ayder Road, which was recently tendered within the scope of the renewal projects in Ayder, will begin and the most He stated that they will implement it in a short time.

Rize-Pehlivantaşı-Kalkandere Road

Rize-Pehlivantaşı-Kalkandere Road was designed with a total length of 5 kilometers, 13,5 kilometers of which are bituminous hot mixture coated divided roads and 18,5 kilometers of which are surface-coated single road standards. In the works that increased the transportation standard, the 13,5 kilometer single road section between Pehlivantaşı and Kalkandere was first opened to traffic in previous years.

The 3-kilometer divided road section of the road between Rize and Pehlivantaşı was put into service within the scope of the mass opening ceremony, together with the 600-meter T-1 Tunnel, 458-meter T-2 Tunnel, 996-meter T-3 Tunnel and 336-meter Pehlivantaşı Bridge.

Pazar-Ardeşen Junction-Çamlıhemşin-Ayder Provincial Road

Pazar-Ardeşen Junction-Çamlıhemşin-Ayder Provincial Road, the construction of which has started, will start from the Pazar-Ardeşen junction of the Black Sea Coastal Road, pass through Çamlıhemşin district center, and end in Ayder location, integrated with the Ayder Recycling Project. Within the scope of the project, a 3-kilometer connection road leaving Tunca Junction and connecting to Tunca Town will also be built. 960 tunnel with a length of 1 meters, 215 bridges with a total length of 4 meters and 3 intersections will be constructed.

The capacity of the road, which will be improved to single road standard with bituminous hot mixture coating, will be increased by adding lanes. With the completion of the project; Traffic congestion will be relieved and fast, safe and comfortable transportation will be established in transportation to Ayder Plateau, which has recently served both winter tourism and plateau tourism in the Black Sea Region and hosts more than one million visitors every year. Trade and tourism potential in the region will be increased by providing ease of transportation from the Black Sea coast to the inland areas.
