İZSU Moves Its Million Subscribers to Digital

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality İZSU General Directorate is preparing to serve its 2 million subscribers with digital invoices. It is aimed to provide faster and more effective service to citizens with applications that combine the possibilities of technology with an environmentally friendly approach.

İZSU General Directorate added a new one to its technology-oriented applications in order to increase the speed of its services and produce environmentally friendly solutions. With the digital billing application, water bills will now be delivered to citizens via text message or e-mail.

Subscribers who want to benefit from the completely free service will be able to switch to the application by applying through İZSU's corporate web page or mobile application or from İZSU branches. The digital billing service will be activated after the approval of the subscriber who wants to receive service. After approval, water bills will be sent to subscribers' mobile phones via message. Subscribers will be able to access all the details of their invoices in the SMS content.

Why digital invoice?

IZSU's new application, which is planned to be put into service in December, will provide significant environmental benefits as well as citizen satisfaction. Thanks to the digital invoice service, İZSU will both prevent paper waste and reduce the carbon footprint resulting from the paper production and invoice distribution process. The digital billing application will enable subscribers to receive service with a fast and environmentally friendly approach.
