With its 26 years of technical know-how, Chery has applied for and received over 8 thousand patents, including more than 26 thousand powertrain patents. It was awarded the title of "Best Engine" called "Heart of China" 9 times. Chery's engines are considered the most powerful domestic engines in China. Having gone through 5 technological renewal cycles, the fifth generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI in its current form has achieved the efficient hybrid engine and consolidated Chery's absolute leadership in engine technology with effective thermal efficiency exceeding 44,5 percent. These figures stand out as the best performance values in the industry.
Chery's transmissions are also award-winning
Chery's transmission technology development journey continues equally determinedly and magnificently. Chery is the only Chinese automotive brand with a complete line-up of transmission technology in its current form. CVT transmission has won awards such as “China Automotive Industry Science and Technology First Prize” and “World's Top 10 Transmission”. This advanced transmission technology adds more competitiveness to Chery's race in both domestic and international markets.
Efficiency increased with QPower architecture
Chery continues to produce innovative solutions with new technologies. The latest solution from Chery's QPower brand covers solutions for mainstream power forms, including ICE, PHEV, BEV and hydrogen. Under the QPower architecture, the thermal efficiency of Chery's PHEV models is increased from 30 percent to 44,5 percent for fuel vehicles, demonstrating “Efficient Green” and environmental advantages. Combined with the dual-motor power system, the 1.5T engine can reach a comprehensive range of 300 km. It also pioneers a high-performance hybrid-specific battery system that allows fast charging from 19 percent to 30 percent in just 80 minutes at room temperature. Chery's fully electric products can reach a range of over 700 kilometers, accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, and offer different power systems to meet the requirements of fully electric platforms.
Globally remarkable success
After more than 20 years of product development, Chery has established a comprehensive powertrain R&D system in the shape of a “V”, maximizing the efficiency and quality of powertrain product development and creating the loop from market to user and back to market. In addition, Chery has four different production bases that adopt world-class technology and processes in the powertrain production line. Powertrain production capacity reached 3 million units. Chery has not only become “China's Chery” but also “Global Chery”.
