Yapı Merkezi Started Works Within the Scope of ROT – 11 Lot Romanian Railway Rehabilitation Project

On November 2, 2023, works within the scope of the ROT - 11 Lot Romanian Railway Rehabilitation Project, tendered by CFR (Romanian Railways), started. The importance of the project was emphasized at the opening ceremony, which was held with the participation of Employer CFR managers, Yapı Merkezi Project Manager Serkan Korkmaz and all project stakeholders.

Within the scope of the project, superstructure reconstruction and maintenance works will be carried out on the 24 km long route. In this context, ballast screening, sleeper, rail, ballast, switch replacement and 45 km long line tamping, welding and stabilization works will be carried out.

The total cost of the project is 44,6 million Euros and it is planned to last 24 months for each lot. The warranty period will be 60 months.

With the completion of the project, Romania's railway infrastructure will be modernized. This will make rail transportation safer and more efficient.

Importance of the Project

ROT – 11 Lot Romanian Railway Rehabilitation Project is an important project in terms of modernizing Romania's railway infrastructure. With the completion of the project, Romania's rail transportation will become safer and more efficient.

The project is also an indicator of Turkey's success in infrastructure projects abroad. With this project, Yapı Merkezi will have implemented the second railway project it has undertaken in Romania.

Scope of the Project

Within the scope of the project, the following works will be carried out:

  • Ballast screening
  • Crossmember replacement
  • Rail replacement
  • Ballast laying
  • Scissor replacement
  • Line tamping, welding and stabilization works

The project will be carried out on a 24 km long route.
