Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that they started to deposit a total of 2,8 billion billion TL of Home Care Assistance into accounts this month in order to provide economic support to fully dependent citizens in need of care and their families.
Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş reminded that Home Care Assistance, one of the most important family-oriented care service models, was launched in 2006 with the idea of supporting disabled individuals primarily with their families. Göktaş stated that with Home Care Assistance, family integrity is protected by supporting family members who take care of their fully dependent relatives in need of care.
Stating that 5 thousand 97 TL per month is paid per beneficiary within the scope of Home Care Assistance, Minister Göktaş said:
“This month, we started to deposit a total of 2,8 billion TL of Home Care Assistance into accounts for fully dependent citizens and their families who need care. Currently, 562 thousand citizens benefit from Home Care Assistance. Within the framework of our Turkey Century Vision, as the Ministry, we attach great importance to the sustainability of rights-based social assistance in the field of disability with a transparent understanding. In this context, we will continue to reach every member of the society with the holistic and fair social service models we have developed within the framework of our vision of a society that leaves no one behind. “I hope the payments will be beneficial to all our disabled citizens and their families.”
