Skoda introduced the new generation of its flagship model in the D segment, Superb, with its world premiere. The fourth generation of the Škoda Superb took its claim even further with a more sophisticated design, more roominess, more comfort and the latest technologies. The new Škoda Superb will be available in sedan and Combi station wagon versions, just like the current generation.

“It will be available for sale in Turkey starting from June”

Making evaluations at the world launch of Skoda Superb, Yüce Auto Skoda General Manager Zafer Başar said, “The new generation of Superb, which has won great acclaim with all its generations in Turkey, will carry Skoda forward as the true flagship of our brand. Starting from June, we are making preparations to introduce the new generation Superb to Turkish users. We achieved sales of over 2015 thousand units with the third generation, which went on sale in 55. Since that year, one in every four vehicles sold by our brand in our country has been a Superb model. As Turkey, we will continue to be the largest market of the Superb sedan. 4 percent of the new generation sedan vehicles sold globally will be sold in our country. "We will have a more assertive model by increasing its share in the new Superb sedan segment," he said.

Superb, which was first introduced in 2001 and has sold more than 1.6 million units to date, has also won numerous international awards for more than twenty years. While a total of 2001 thousand first-generation Superb units were sold between 2008 and 137, the second generation model achieved a total sales figure of 2008 thousand units from 2015 to 618. The third generation Superb was introduced in 2015 and a total of over 845 thousand units have been sold to date.

Skoda's flagship model has managed to take all its features to the next level with its new generation. The fourth generation Superb, which has become more refined with the renewed design, draws attention with its octagonal Skoda, front grille, Skoda logo on the hood and more fluid design. Superb, which has a more aerodynamic design, continues to traditionally direct the design of Škoda models. Bringing the elements of the brand's new "Modern Solid" design language to the completely new Superb model, Skoda draws attention with its new LED Matrix headlights and LED rear lighting complemented by crystal details.

Segment-leading dimensions, living space and luggage volume

Combining dynamic, modern and sharp lines, the new Superb is designed to be longer and higher than the previous generation. The new Superb, which has the same wheelbase as the previous generation at 2,841 mm, has a length of 4,912 mm (+43 mm), a height of 1,481 mm (+12 mm) and a width of 1,849 mm in the sedan version. Offering a larger living space inside, the already assertive luggage volume of the new Superb has increased by 20 liters to 645 liters in the sedan version and by 30 liters to 690 liters in the Combi. With these dimensions, length and luggage volume, the Superb stands out as the leader of its segment.

Cabin with more technology and comfort

The fourth generation Superb continues its assertive exterior design inside as well. In the redesigned cabin, the steering wheel, indicators, front console and decorative upholstery have been made more eye-catching. For the first time in a Skoda model, the gear control has been moved to the steering column, providing a larger space on the center console, while the 10-inch Digital Instrument Panel, the head-up display mirrored on the windshield and the 13-inch high-resolution horizontal touch multimedia screen emphasize the technological side of the vehicle.

Bringing together both the physical and digital worlds, Smart Dials makes driving safer by making it easier to manage vehicle features and allows the desired settings to be easily made in every driving condition. Featuring a triple rotary knob design, these buttons provide intuitive use as well as high tactile quality. Each of these smart buttons, which can be pressed and turned at the same time, provides easy access to various vehicle functions. Features such as temperature, seat heating/cooling, fan speed, ventilation direction, sound settings, driving modes or map zoom in/out can be managed from these buttons. However, Skoda uses upholstery made of 100 percent recycled polyester with the aim of sustainability.

The new Superb comes with hybrid technology engines

Škoda will also offer more efficient and high-performance engine options with the new generation Superb. Accordingly, the new generation model will have different engine options, including three modern TSI gasoline engines, one of which has mild hybrid technology, two diesels and a new plug-in hybrid option with an electric range of more than 100 kilometers. Gasoline engine options stand out as 1.5 TSI 150 PS mHEV, 2.0 TSI 204 PS and 2.0 TSI 265 PS, while the 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine will have 150 PS and 193 PS. The top versions of the Superb diesel and gasoline options will be offered with the 4×4 option. All engines are paired with a DSG automatic transmission, ensuring high comfort, performance and efficiency in all driving conditions. In the Superb, which will be offered with a mild hybrid engine for the first time, this option contributes to performance and also helps reduce fuel consumption by up to 10 percent.

Taking innovative steps forward in terms of safety, the new Superb will offer advanced smart assistant systems such as Turning Assistant and Emergency Steering Assistant. Other systems already available in the previous model, such as Travel Assistant, Side Assistant and Front Assist, have also been significantly improved. In the event of an accident, Occupant Protection Assist and up to 10 airbags provide maximum protection for passengers. Thanks to extensive testing and the latest technology, the new Superb has been developed to offer its passengers the best possible safety. Remote Parking Assistant is available for the first time in Škoda and allows the vehicle to park itself by automatically controlling its steering and speed. In addition, many features such as Reverse Maneuver Warning System with Brake Support, Front Area Braking Assistant, Lane Following Assistant, Lane Change Assistant, Smart Adaptive Cruise Control, Crossroad Collision Prevention System, Traffic Sign Detection System and Congested Traffic Assistant are also included in the new Superb. .
