Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has rolled up its sleeves to realize another important investment in the Kartepe Cable Car Project, which has been Kocaeli's 50-year dream. Before starting the active use of the cable car, we are working on issues that will require it. In this context, a tender was held by the Metropolitan Municipality for the construction of Kartepe Derbent Gazi Mustafa Kemal Street Road and Cable Car Parking Lot. 4 companies submitted bids for the tender held electronically in the Metropolitan Municipality tender hall. The lowest bid was 42 million 712 thousand 384 TL. The bids submitted will be evaluated by the tender commission.
RAINWATER AND ELECTRICITY LINE
A total of 770 meters of road will be built on Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Street in Kartepe Derbent District. The project includes wall and rainwater line manufacturing, as well as underground electrical lines and lighting work. In this context, the contractor company will carry out 6.261 tons of plantmix sub-base, 1.982 tons of wear, 4.030 square meters of pressed concrete, 10.350 cubic meters of trench excavation, 6.000 cubic meters of filling, and 1.500 cubic meters of stone wall work.
70 VEHICLE PARKING
2.000 small vehicle parking lots will be built on an area of 54 square meters at the Derbent leg of the Kartepe Cable Car, and 3.100 large vehicle parking lots will be built on an area of 16 square meters on Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Street. With the road work, 70 open car parks with a total capacity of 2 vehicles will be built. The works will be completed within 180 calendar days after the contract is signed. With this project, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality aims to prevent the congestion that will occur along the cable car line.
