Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki stated that they will restore Kahramanmaraş, the center of the February 6 earthquakes, to the beauties of the past. With our urban design works equipped with an aesthetic understanding, we are rapidly advancing towards our goal of making it a safer and more beautiful city than before. Our new city square project that will serve the people of Kahramanmaraş is ready. We aim to restore Kahramanmaraş to the original splendor of the past with all its cultural assets, historical texture and local architecture.” said.

Mehmet Özhaseki, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, evaluated the work carried out to revive Kahramanmaraş, which was destroyed in the earthquakes, and announced the Kahramanmaraş Square Project.

Emphasizing that they started construction by laying the foundations in the reserve areas in Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquake, in a short time, Minister Özhaseki said, “Kahramanmaraş, the city of poets and men of letters, is one of the cities most damaged by the earthquakes. With both our work in reserve areas and our 'On-Site Transformation' project, we will build a total of 82 thousand 104 residences and 34 thousand 504 commercial areas throughout Kahramanmaraş without compromising the 4 red lines. We will deliver 10 thousand 337 residences and village houses to their rightful owners by the end of the year in Kahramanmaraş. Later, we will place our brothers and sisters who were affected by the disaster, step by step, in our completed houses. "said.
