Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat stated that 1 ton 197 kilograms of captagon type narcotic pills were seized by Hatay Customs Enforcement Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate teams.
Minister Bolat shared a post about the operation on his social media account.
Stating that the Customs Enforcement teams of the Ministry of Commerce continue their operations without slowing down, Bolat said:
“1 ton, 197 kilograms and approximately 500 million lira worth of Captagon type narcotic pills were seized in a transit container by Hatay Customs Enforcement Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate teams. As a result of the joint operation carried out with our National Intelligence Organization (MİT), 3 people related to the incident were detained. "As the Ministry of Commerce, we do not tolerate drug networks not only in our country but also regionally in the fight against drugs."
Bolat congratulated the Customs Enforcement teams, who once again demonstrated their determined stance in the fight against smuggling, and thanked MİT for contributing to the successful operation.
