Due to the natural disaster that occurred in our country on February 6, the Trabzon Half Marathon was postponed to October 28, 2023.
The 100rd International Trabzon Half Marathon was run by Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of the 43th anniversary celebrations of the Republic. Kenyan Meshack Kimutai Kıbıl won the marathon in the men's category, and Ivyne Lagat from Kenay won the women's category.
The 43rd International Trabzon Half Marathon, organized by the Metropolitan Municipality, was run this year with the slogan "We are Running to the 100th Anniversary of our Republic". Within the scope of the races, the first public run started under the Yenimahalle State Coastal Road Street Martyr Ensign Coşkun Davulcu overpass. Then, the Turkish Championship was held with the Children's Run, 10 km and 21 km Half Marathon Run. The start of the 43rd International Trabzon Half Marathon was given together by Trabzon Governor Aziz Yıldırım, Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Murat Zorluoğlu and Athletics Federation President Fatih Çintimar.
