CHP Burdur Deputy İzzet Akbulut submitted a written parliamentary question to the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu regarding the transportation of the rails of Burdur Train Station.

Stating that Burdur Train Station, which was put into service in 1936, had been serving the surrounding provinces and metropolises with the Pamukkale Express and Göller Ekspres railway networks until very recently, the CHP deputy said, "With the developing technology, the system that cannot renew itself and the spread of new transportation networks, Burdur Train Station" "It reduced the demand for transportation, and since attractive programs could not be produced, it was first used for freight transportation and then it was reduced from the Directorate level to the Chieftaincy level," he said.

Deputy Akbulut said that since the current station building is located in the middle of the city, the train tracks divide the city into two halves on an east-west axis and said, “Since 2019, the ruling party officials had promised that the rails would be moved to the 1st OIZ. "The TCDD General Manager of the period stated that they were working on the transportation of the rails and that they saw the train rails as an obstacle to the development of Burdur at the meeting held with the members of the ruling party," he said.

Stating that the train tracks divide the city in the middle like the 'Berlin Wall', CHP Deputy Deputy said, "Our fellow citizens frequently complain to us that economic development and the opportunity to create alternative trade areas are prevented, therefore traffic flow, urbanization and city integrity are difficult to achieve and fatal accidents are caused. is at the top of the list,” he said.

2. As of 04/09/2023, what kind of work has been done regarding the relocation?

3. Does your Ministry currently have any projects regarding the relocation process?

4. In 2019, 4 years have passed, although it is said that there is no disruption or delay in the transportation of the rails. How long will this process be delayed?

The parliamentary question of İzzet Akbulut is as follows;

PRESIDENCY OF THE GRAND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF TURKEY

I respectfully request that the following questions be answered in writing by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Mr. Abdulkadir URALOĞLU.

Burdur Train Station, which was put into service in 1936, served the surrounding provinces and metropolises with the Pamukkale Ekspres and Göller Ekspres railway networks until very recently. With the developing technology, the non-renewable system and the spread of new transportation networks have reduced the demand for Burdur Train Station. Since attractive programs could not be produced, it was first used for freight transportation and then was reduced from the Directorate level to the Chieftaincy level.

The current station building is located in the middle of the city, and the train tracks divide the city into two halves on an east-west axis. It was promised by the officials of the ruling party that the rails will be moved to the 2019st OSB as of 1, and the General Manager of TCDD at the time stated that they were working on the transportation of the rails in the meeting they held with the officials of the ruling party and that they saw the train tracks as an obstacle to the development of Burdur.

The fact that the train tracks divide the city down the middle like the 'Berlin Wall' prevents economic development and the opportunity to create alternative trade areas, and therefore makes it difficult to ensure traffic flow, urbanization and city integrity, and causes fatal accidents. This is one of the issues that our fellow citizens frequently complain about.

In this context;

1. What is the latest situation regarding the transportation of the rails of Burdur Train Station, which is said to be moved to the 2019st OSB in 1?

5. How much does it cost to move the existing Train Station?

6. How much does it cost to build wire fences around existing train tracks?
