Troy Culture Road Festival, within the scope of Turkey Culture Road Festivals organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in order to contribute to Turkey's international brand value, has started.

On the first day of the festival, a press conference was held at the Anadolu Hamidiye Bastion before the events.

In his speech here, Deputy Minister Mumcu said that they came together at the Çanakkale stop for the events of the festivals, which started in Cappadocia on August 5 and continued in Trabzon and Erzurum, on September 9-17.

Explaining that they set out to consider the brand values of the cities while planning the festivals, Mumcu reminded that the Troy Culture Road Festival was held for the second time this year.

Mumcu stated that the festivals will continue to be held in the cities on determined dates every year in the future and continued as follows:

“While we are making this planning, we also collect data about our tradesmen and accommodation places in our cities. We are trying to time it during the off season. Our festivals continue within a busy event calendar to increase mobility in the city. The festival in Çanakkale will continue for 9 days with many events such as concerts, exhibitions, theater and ballet. We also have activities for our children. As in last year's festival, there will be a gastronomy section this year too. Nearly 40 events will be held at more than 500 locations.

I proudly say this; Cultural Road Festivals will have a great impact on the promotion of both our city and our country. As a matter of fact, it is currently considered as the largest festival in the world in terms of its duration and diversity. We are also making efforts to carry this to international channels. We want international participation. We believe that our festivals will become an important value of our country by multiplying its success over the years.”

Noting that the number of cities was less last year and that they are planning 11 cities this year, Mumcu stated that they aim to increase this number every year.

Stating that there was participation in these festivals from surrounding provinces, Mumcu said, “When determining the cities, we went through the provinces of the region. Guests will come not only from Çanakkale, but also from surrounding provinces and regions. Because our concerts and events are free.” said.
