After the wooden pillar and beam mosques, which carry the architectural style of the Turks from Central Asia to the Horosan region to the present day, were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, Beyşehir Eşrefoğlu Mosque was also included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay reminded that Konya has hosted many civilizations throughout history and emphasized that they are carrying out important work to protect these priceless cultural treasures and pass them on to the next generations.

Eşrefoğlu Mosque is the largest and original of the wooden pillared mosques in Anatolia. It is located in the İçerşehir District, in the north of Konya's Beyşehir district. Eşrefoğlu Mosque was built by Eşrefoğlu Seyfettin Süleyman Bey between 1296 and 1299, during the Eşrefoğulları Principality, as a complex with a tomb, caravanserai and bath.
