Touristic East Express, which is in service for tourism on the Ankara - Kars line, starts its flights again on 11 December.
Wagon allocations to travel agencies requesting wagon allocation on the Touristic Eastern Express, which will be operated in the 2023-24 period, were determined by a lottery broadcast live on 28.08.2023 at 14:00.
Wagon allocation requests of travel agencies, including the dates 14.08.2023-18.08.2023, were collected on the website by TCDD Transportation General Directorate Customer Services Department. Demands much higher than the wagon supply were evaluated and the agencies meeting the application conditions were determined.
At the last stage, wagon allocations to 92 qualified travel agencies were made by drawing lots.
Accordingly, the wagons of the Touristic East Express, which provides services for tourism between Ankara-Kars-Ankara, were distributed to travel agencies by drawing lots. While 84 different agencies will be allocated each time of a total of 3 flights, a maximum of two wagons will be allocated to the agencies on the same train.
The Touristic Eastern Express, which attracts great attention from domestic and foreign tourists, provides the opportunity to travel on one of the four most beautiful routes in the world. The Touristic Eastern Express, which consists of only dining and sleeping cars, allows to see important historical and cultural cities on the Ankara-Kars line as a concept. Between Ankara and Kars, in Erzincan and Erzurum; Between Kars and Ankara, it stops for about 3 hours in Divriği, Sivas and İliç.
Touristic Orient Express; It will start its flights from Ankara on 11.12.2023-08.03.2024 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from Kars on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday between 13.12.2023-10.03.2024.
In addition, additional flights will be operated from Ankara on 31.12.2023, 20.01.2024, 27.01.2024 and from Kars on 02.01.2024, 22.01.2024, 29.01.2024 for the New Year and semester periods.
