Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Turkish Cultural Road Festivals started this year in Cappadocia on August 5th. The second stop of the Culture Road Festivals, which will last until 12 November, will be Trabzon and Erzurum.

According to the statement made by the Ministry, the Turkish Culture Road Festivals, which were first taken with the Beyoğlu Cultural Road Festival two years ago by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to contribute to Turkey's international brand value, started this year in Cappadocia on August 5, until November 12. Trabzon and Erzurum are the second stops of the Culture Road Festivals that will continue.

At the Sümela and Palandöken Festivals, which will be held simultaneously in Trabzon and Erzurum on 19-27 August, hundreds of events that will attract the attention of everyone from 7 to 70, from exhibitions, theaters, concerts, children's activities, film screenings to interviews, will meet with the public.

The festival will start with the Fotomarathon, which will be held with the participation of hundreds of amateur and professional photographers. Photography enthusiasts will come together in the accompaniment of a cortege and band in the areas where the views of Trabzon and Erzurum are most beautiful. Photographs taken during the festival will be evaluated by the jury and a cash prize will be presented to the selected works.

Concerts will color Trabzon and Erzurum

As part of the Sümela Cultural Road Festival; Bengü, Mehmet Erdem and Rubato, 100th Anniversary Marches (Metin Özülkü, Ömür Gedik, Hande Ünsal, Gökhan Tepe, Ferda Anıl Yarkın, Güliz Ayla), Motive, Fatma Turgut, Ali Kınık, Göksel, Dilemma, Dedblüman Names such as Oğuzhan Koç will give concerts.

As part of the Palandoken Cultural Road Festival, Ferhat Göçer, Merve Özbey, Yavuz Bingöl, Elif Buse Doğan, Ali Kınık, Uğur Işılak, Alişan, Sinan Akçıl, Fatma Turgut concerts will take place at the Erzurum Event and Rally Area. The Latvian Embassy brings the exhibition 'Secrets of Amber', prepared by the famous artist Andris Zēgners, to Turkish audiences as part of the Sümela Cultural Road Festival. The amber stone, formed 40 million years ago through the lens of Andris Zegners, will be presented with 19 large-scale macro photographs in the exhibition, which aims to share the unique stories and heritage of Latvia with the audience in Turkey.

20th state photography competition exhibition and award ceremony in Erzurum
