STM brought the military naval platforms and tactical mini-UAV systems developed with national resources to more than 100 delegations at the IDEF Fair.
STM Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc., which has achieved high value-added export successes in the international arena while equipping the Turkish defense with innovative and national systems, participated in the 16th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF-2023), Turkey's largest defense fair. showcased their technologies.
STM exhibited military naval projects, tactical mini UAV systems, radar technologies and consultancy services at IDEF held at Istanbul TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center between 25-28 July 2023.
Frigates will be equipped with National Warfare Systems
Continuing its activities under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industries, STM organized 6 different cooperation ceremonies during the IDEF fair. Contracts were signed between ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) and STM-TAIS for equipping the 6th, 7th and 8th ships of the MİLGEM Stacker Class, which will be built in the STM-TAIS Business Partnership, with national warfare systems. In the supply of diesel generator sets for ships, İşbir Elektrik Sanayi A.Ş. Agreements were signed with Türk Loydu for classification service.
A cooperation agreement was signed with STM-Asisguard within the scope of exporting the national spotter İHA TOGAN, which has been successfully used by the Turkish Armed Forces, to an African country.
STM also signed an “Entrepreneurship Oriented” strategic cooperation agreement for the Incubation Center with Teknopark Istanbul.
STM Hosted More than 50 Delegations from 100 Different Countries at IDEF
During the IDEF Fair, many domestic and foreign senior delegations visited STM's stand.
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, President of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. More than 50 delegations from 100 different countries, especially Haluk Görgün, including chiefs of staff, force commanders, senior ministry of defense officials, and senior representatives of NATO, received information about STM's engineering capabilities and products.
TCG ISTANBUL Docked at IDEF
Turkey's first national frigate, TCG ISTANBUL (F-515), of which STM is the designer and main contractor, and which started its cruise tests last month, anchored in Büyükçekmece, where IDEF will be held.
At STM IDEF, the İ-class frigate project, Turkey's first small-sized national submarine project STM 500, Turkey's first national corvette project MİLGEM Ada Class, the Marine Supply Tanker (PNFT) built for the Pakistan Navy, the STM MPAC Gunboat. and STM coast guard ships at the fair.
Intense Interest in Tactical Mini UAV Systems
In tactical mini-uav systems; Turkey's first national striker KARGU, which was exported to nearly 10 countries in three different continents, and İHA BOYGA, which added ammunition to the TAF inventory last year, and national scout İHA TOGAN took their place at the STM stand. Intelligent Roaming Ammunition System ALPAGUT and fixed-wing striker UAV ALPAGU were also exhibited.
The national technology STM Behind the Wall Radar (DAR) system, which enabled more than 6 people to be rescued from the rubble during the February 50 earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, and STM ThinkTech, Turkey's first technology-oriented thinking center, also shared their capabilities at IDEF.
