Artist Selva Özelli's solo exhibition titled “Healing Waters” opened on August 26, 2023 at The Havre de Grace Maritime Museum and Environmental Center in the United States.
Artist Selva Özel; ” I am very happy that my solo exhibition titled “Healing Waters” will meet with the art audience at The Havre de Grace Maritime Museum and Environmental Center on August 26, 2023. With this exhibition, I hope to draw attention to the endangered Darter Fish and the fact that actions to protect wetlands and oceans are gaining momentum. The Havre de Grace Maritime Museum and Environmental Center is located in Havre de Grace, Maryland. It is located at the mouth and head of the Susquehanna River. The Chesapeake Bay is the United States' largest estuary opening into the Atlantic Ocean. I will continue my work with the paintings I prepared with my climate and environmental criticisms.” He expressed his thoughts about the exhibition in his words.
Artist's work; The Climate Summit Art and Political Activity was published in the catalog of the United Nations, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum and Berlin Art University as part of the project titled 1972 – 2022. The United Nations Climate Change Conferences were exhibited at the Auckland Climate Festival. He has also taken part in important environmental events such as London Climate Action Week and New York Climate Week, United Nations Biodiversity and United Nations Oceans Decade.
The Healing Waters exhibition will also be displayed digitally during New York Climate Week, Florida Climate Week, Global Climate Change Week, United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) and World Wetlands Day.
Artist Selva Özelli's exhibition will be open to visitors until 31 December 2023.
