It has been stated that the infrastructure works of Yozgat Airport, whose foundation was laid on June 3, 2018 in the Deremumlu-Fakıbeyli village location of Yozgat, have been completed to a large extent. In the examinations made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was stated that the airstrip and infrastructure works were 95 percent complete. Thanks to this project, it is planned to provide services to the surrounding provinces as well as the center of Yozgat and its districts.
AK Party Yozgat Deputies Abdulkadir Akgül and Süleyman Şahan, together with Mayor Celal Köse, made inspections in the airport construction and announced that the superstructure tender was made and the weight of the works would be given to this direction. It was stated that the terminal building, tower and other superstructures will be built, and that the entire airport will be completed and given to Yozgat within the next year.
Abdulkadir Akgül stated that great services have been provided to Yozgat in the last 20 years and that the airport will be a complementary element of these works together with the organized industrial zones. He emphasized that with the completion of the airport, the development of the region in the fields of economy, education, culture, industry, trade and tourism will accelerate and add value to the city. He also pointed out that businessmen will also benefit greatly in their travels to and from Yozgat.
Mayor Celal Köse stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave great support to Yozgat and significant investments were made in the city. Noting that the airport is located at a point where east-west, south-north roads intersect with its strategic location, he stated that it is an airport that can be used by the surrounding provinces as well. Köse also thanked those who contributed to the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train project, adding great value to Yozgat.
It was stated that with the completion of Yozgat Airport, the transportation infrastructure of the region will be strengthened, economic activities will increase and tourism potential will develop. It is aimed that the airport will make a great contribution to Yozgat and the surrounding provinces. With the completion of this important project, it is anticipated that Yozgat will further develop and develop.
