Work on Ankara-Istanbul Road Will Take 6 Days

The General Directorate of Highways of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that the traffic on this route will be given in 'both directions' for 6 days due to the superstructure repair works between the Mainland-Istanbul Anatolian Motorway and the Gümüşova-Gölyaka junction.

General Directorate of Highways, which gave information about the route for those who will set out, noted that the works were carried out within the scope of the 2023 working season. In terms of traffic safety and comfort of the highways, it was stated that the heavy vehicle traffic deforms the road quality and the roads are prepared for the winter months, and it is aimed to reach a safer and more comfortable journey for our citizens.

“Works continue in the direction of Ankara between O-4/22 Km: 12+270 – Km: 15+150, located between Hendek Junction and Gölyaka Junction of the Anatolian Highway, and traffic is provided from the other direction in a two-way and controlled manner.”

The General Directorate of Highways noted that the drivers should use alternative routes and comply with the information to be given both on social media and along the way, and stated that the planned date for the full opening of the road to traffic is 21 July at 17:00.
