The fight took place in Arlington, USA, and the Sultans of the Net dominated the sets with a 3-0 series with the effective serves of Ebrar Karakurt. They got the upper hand over their opponents by keeping the 3-point difference (8-11) they had achieved at the beginning of the set. However, after Chinese head coach Cai Bin's timeout, the Asian team increased their offensive efficiency, closing the gap and taking the lead by one point (13-12).
