The trial of 25 defendants regarding the train accident in which 328 people lost their lives and 13 people were injured in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ continued.

The 13th hearing of the case involving 15 defendants regarding the train accident in Çorlu district was held at the Çorlu 1st High Criminal Court. Before the hearing, the families of those who lost their lives in the accident and some injured people organized a march in front of the Public Education Center where the hearing was held.

At the hearing, the supplementary report of the previously formed expert panel was read. In the report, opinions and opinions regarding the institutions and individuals responsible for the accident were included. Accordingly, it was stated that the TCDD General Directorate R&D Unit, the Central and 1st Region Railway Safety and Risk Management Directorates, the Presidency Responsible for Renewal of Infrastructure and Engineering Structures and the Presidency responsible for hiring Road and Passage Control Officers were primarily defective.

The court adjourned the hearing to September 1. This case is ongoing with the aim of bringing those responsible for the train accident in Çorlu to justice and providing justice to the relatives of those who lost their lives in the accident. The families of those who lost their lives in the accident and the injured are demanding that justice be done by continuing the follow-up of the case.
