Written and directed by Álex Pastor and David Pastor, Bird Box Barcelona follows a father and daughter and their people as they come together to try to survive in a dangerous post-apocalyptic world plagued by mysterious invisible beings who kill anyone who sees them. The movie is the sequel to the 2018 movie based on the book of the same name by Josh Malerman.
Bird Box Barcelona, which focuses on brand new characters although it takes place in the same continuity, takes place in Spain instead of America.

Unfortunately, for those who want to catch up with Sandra Bullock's character Malorie, you won't get that chance in the sequel. Bullock is not in the cast. None of the characters from the first movie return in this movie, which makes sense since it's set in a different country.
