The works at Şasal Water Factory, which was reorganized by İzDoğa, one of the companies of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, have reached the final stage. Glass and plastic bottles of Şasal water will be bottled at the factory and offered to the people of İzmir.
İzmir meets again with Şasal, one of Turkey's oldest water brands. The work at Şasal Water Factory, which was reorganized by İzDoğa, one of the companies of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, has come to an end. The facility is counting down the days to be put into service to meet Izmir's healthy drinking water needs.
Closed since 2011
The factory, where the water supplied from the spring in Menderes's Şasal Village will be used, has been closed since 2011. At the facility, which IzDoğa leased from IZSU in October 2022 and whose renovations are nearing the end, glass and plastic bottles of Şasal water will be filled into bottles and brought to the people of Izmir.
4 liters per second
The Şasal water source has a water capacity of 4 liters per second. In the first phase, 750 ml and 330 ml glass bottles will be produced per month at the Şasal Su Factory. The factory will fill 750 thousand 291 glass bottles of 198 ml and 330 thousand 436 glass bottles of 800 ml per month. On the other hand, the construction work continues on the pet bottle line. In the pet bottling unit, 0,5 liter, 1,5 liter and 5 liter pet bottles will be filled.
High-tech machines
Şasal Water Factory has glass bottling and pet bottling units. The facility, where a comprehensive restoration was carried out, is equipped with high-tech machines that will enable untouched production. In the laboratory in the facility, water samples will be taken at intervals in accordance with the quality standards and tests will be carried out regularly.
