It was reported that a total of 87 thousand 651 passengers benefited from Rize-Artvin Airport in June. 375 of this number is international passengers and the rest includes domestic passengers. In addition, 624 thousand 190 kilograms of domestic baggage and cargo were transported from the airport in this period, while 6 thousand 403 kilograms of luggage and cargo were carried abroad.

Rize-Artvin Airport is Turkey's second airport built on a sea embankment. According to the information shared by the Rize Governor's Office, the airport, where 605 flights were carried out in June, made a significant contribution to the air traffic of the region.
