Uraloğlu: Currently, 90 percent of freight and passenger transport in Turkey is done by road. Rail systems will also be given importance as in the previous period.
Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, who took the post of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure from Adil Karaismailoğlu, said that he had the honor of taking office as the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure in the cabinet of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the Century of Turkey.
In his speech at the handover ceremony held at the Ministry, Uraloğlu stated that Turkey has advanced a new era in transportation, communication, infrastructure and maritime with their devoted efforts under the leadership of President Erdoğan for 21 years.
Expressing that they have successfully completed and implemented projects that the world envy, Uraloğlu said that they have done good services on the highways, that they have increased the length of the divided road to 29 thousand kilometers, and the length of the bituminous hot mixture paved road to 30 thousand kilometers.
Stating that they have not only equipped the country with divided roads, but also covered the country with bridges, tunnels, viaducts and highway networks, Uraloğlu said, “We will continue with the projects we have started. We will follow and finish important projects such as Aydın-Denizli Highway, Ankara-Kırıkkale Highway, Antalya-Alanya Highway, Başakşehir-Nakkaş Highway.” said.
Reminding that 90 percent of freight and passenger transportation in Turkey is still carried out by road, Uraloğlu stated that rail systems will be given importance as in the previous period.
Uraloğlu, one of the important rail system projects, Ankara-İzmir High Speed Train Line, Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye-Gaziantep High-Speed Train Line, connecting Bursa with high-speed train, Yerköy-Kayseri High Speed Train Line, HalkalıHe noted that they will closely follow the projects of the Airport Metro, Kazlıçeşme-Sirkeci Rail System Line, Ankara-Istanbul Super Speed Train Line.

Emphasizing that they will continue to work to increase the level Turkey has reached in world maritime, Uraloğlu said, “We will continue to develop the communication infrastructure with our developing technology and opportunities.” he said.
Uraloğlu, explaining that they have accomplished many services in the fields of transportation, maritime and communication during their government, wished success to Adil Karaismailoğlu, with whom they have been working for more than 3 years, during his parliamentary term.

Adil Karaismailoğlu also stated that President Erdoğan handing over the Ministry to him means a great honor and confidence, and said:
“We worked very hard 7/24 to be worthy of his trust. It was one of our honorable works to make the world's greatest engineering technologies with local and national engineers. It would take hours if we tried to count the names of the projects we opened. We have completed huge mega projects on a world scale and put them at the service of our country and nation.”
Karaismailoğlu stated that they did not only facilitate the life of the citizens with these projects, but also made extraordinary contributions to the development and growth of Turkey in employment, production, investment, industry, technology, tourism, agriculture and animal husbandry with these projects.
“While we are carrying out public-private partnerships, build-operate-transfer projects in projects with appropriate feasibility, we have become a Ministry that offers hundreds of projects to the service of our country and nation by simultaneously making hundreds of projects from the public budget in all four corners of our country. Our fellow traveler, Abdulkadir Bey, will add a lot more to this. We have no doubts about it.”
After the speeches, Uraloğlu and Karaismailoğlu presented flowers to each other.
