The Bronze (pool) Lifeguard Training, which was held for the third time this year by the Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FTSO), was completed after 3 days, and the Silver (sea) Lifeguard Training, which lasted 3 days. 5 people who participated in the training successfully passed the exam and were entitled to receive a lifeguard certificate.
The training was held by Best Underwater company TSSF Diving and Lifeguard Instructor Savaş Yapman and Assistant İbrahim Çakıcı between 29 May – 2 June 2023. The training lasted for a total of 1 days, including 1 day in the pool, 3 day in the sea, and 5 days in theoretical training. The trainees participating in the training were given theoretical and practical training on swimming techniques, the correct use of rescue equipment, and the first aid interventions to be made after removing people who are in danger of drowning in the pool and sea. 12 participants who successfully passed the exam at the end of the training were entitled to receive a lifeguard certificate.
Why is a Lifeguard Certificate required?
Lifeguard certificates obtained at the end of the training within the scope of 'Turkish Underwater Sports Federation Lifesaving Regulation' are valid in all establishments that are obliged to employ certified lifeguards. Documents must be renewed after their 2-year validity period has expired.
