In this context, a tender was held for the synthetic turf field and facility building for Başiskele Yakup Altun Stadium. 4 companies submitted bids for the electronic tender held at the Metropolitan Municipality Tender Hall. The lowest bid for the renovation of the football field and the administrative building was 32 million 123 thousand 456 TL. Bids will be evaluated after being reviewed by the commission.

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues to work on sports complex for all branches of sports. In this context, the Metropolitan Municipality, which gives great support to amateur sports and athletes, also repairs the areas used by the athletes. With the tender held, a synthetic turf field and facility building will be built on an area of 10.000 m². In the Yakup Altun Sports Facility project, the 68 x 105 m field will be revised to synthetic turf for competitions and training. It is also planned to construct a reinforced concrete facility building with a construction area of 440 square meters in the project. In addition, the project includes lighting and automatic irrigation, landscaping, perimeter fences and walls suitable for playing night games. The works will be completed in 400 calendar days after the site is delivered to the company that won the tender.
