Automechanika Istanbul 2023, the biggest meeting of the international automotive industry in the region, has started. Organized in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt Istanbul and Hannover Fairs Turkey at Istanbul TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center, the fair can be visited until Sunday evening, June 11th. It is predicted that more than 1400 thousand industry professionals will come together during the fair, which broke its own record with the number of over 50 exhibitors and also hosted a record number of international exhibitors.

At the fair, which brings together automotive industry professionals from all over the world; It has product groups under the categories of parts and systems, troubleshooting and repair, accessories and customization, electronics and connectivity, car wash and maintenance center, dealer and workshop management, alternative driving systems & fuels and mineral oil, approximately 700 of which are from Turkey. There are over 1400 participating companies in total. While Automechanika Istanbul 2023 continues with the intense interest and participation of the automotive industry, it will focus on the theme of sustainability and innovative technologies throughout the fair, especially the "Innovation 4 Mobility by BAKIRCI" special section.

At the opening ceremony of Automechanika Istanbul 2023, which broke records, Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB) Board Member Leon Kalma and Automotive After-Sales Products and Services Association (OSS) Association Board Chairman Ziya Özalp, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Board Member Salih Sami Atılgan, Moderator Yiğit Top, Messe Frankfurt Brand Manager Michael Johannes, Hannover Fairs Turkey General Manager Annika Klar and Vehicle Supply Manufacturers Association (TAYSAD) President Albert Saydam were present.

While Turkey continues to increase the success it has achieved in exports every year, the automotive sector, which has an annual share of 30 billion dollars and approximately 13 percent in the country's exports, continues to increase its export figures with Automechanika Istanbul. Automechanika Istanbul, the meeting point of continents in the automotive aftermarket sector, prepares the ground for new collaborations with the opportunities it offers to manufacturers every year it is held. Last year, 28 exhibitors from 825 different countries and 141 from 13.802 countries were outside the borders of Turkey, and 34.552 from Turkey, a total of 48.354 industry professionals. It is expected to host more than 35 thousand visitors.

Automechanika Istanbul, which is Turkey's largest international fair; It is the largest automotive aftermarket fair in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa and the third largest in the world. This year, there will be pavilions of 3 different countries, including Germany, Spain, Korea, Czechia, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Pakistan and India.

In addition to the 2023 halls where products and services are exhibited, another innovation at the 14 fair, the "Atrium" special hall to be established outside also hosts automotive industry professionals under the sponsorship of Group Auto Turkey. Qualified purchasing professionals also participate in the Automechanika Istanbul 2023 fair within the scope of the Purchasing Mission Program managed by the Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB). Highlighting sustainable production policies and innovative solutions in the automotive industry, Automechanika Istanbul meets industry professionals with the latest technologies in the e-mobility and automotive world in the special area of ​​'Innovation 4 Mobility by BAKIRCI'. In the electric vehicles service area established in the 12th Hall, on 8 different electric vehicles at 8 different stations, by experts; charging station, battery, tire change, paint, chassis, expertise trainings are given.

While industry professionals closely examine all the equipment required after the sale of electric vehicles in the field of e-mobility, they have the opportunity to contribute to their professional development with presentations, interviews and workshops with the Automechanika Academy special program prepared by Castrol. In the special area of ​​“Automechanika Academy powered by Castrol”, which focuses on the e-mobility technologies of the future, issues such as the after-sales industry, future technologies and gender equality in the automotive sector were discussed during the fair, while the “Equality 4 Business” session on increasing female employment in the sector is planned on Friday, June 9th. .
