A protocol was signed between Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and Taiwan Turkey Representative Taipei Economy and Culture Mission to purchase new mobile food trucks to meet the food needs of earthquake victims.
ABB President Mansur Yavaş said, “With these vehicles, we will continue to support more than 400 thousand earthquake victims living both in earthquake zones and in Ankara.”
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to develop various projects in cooperation with both national and international non-governmental organizations.
A protocol was signed between BelPa, one of the subsidiaries of ABB, which has implemented exemplary projects with the principle of social municipality, and Taiwan Turkey Representative Taipei Economy and Culture Mission on the purchase of new mobile food trucks to meet the needs of earthquake victims in earthquake regions or in Ankara.
Volkan Chih-Yang Huang, Representative of the Taipei Economy and Culture Mission, and Mansur Yavaş, the Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, signed the protocol text at the ceremony held at the Presidential Office.
MOBILE FOOD TRUCKS WILL SERVE MORE THAN 400 THOUSAND CITIZENS
Stating that they continue to heal the wounds of the earthquake victims with the cooperation of national and international institutions and organizations, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş said, “We are very pleased with the signing of a cooperation protocol for the purchase of mobile food trucks in order to meet the needs of our earthquake victims both in earthquake regions and in Ankara. . Our teams are still working in earthquake zones. With these vehicles, we will continue to support more than 400 thousand earthquake victims living both in earthquake zones and in Ankara.”
Taipei Economy and Culture Mission Representative Volkan Chih-Yang Huang said, “Since we are also an earthquake country, we have a command of what is necessary and what needs to be done first in such a big earthquake. For this reason, we continued our support to earthquake zones without stopping. We also visited earthquake zones. During our visit to Kahramanmaraş, I witnessed the great effort of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. Likewise, I know that 600 thousand citizens affected by the earthquake came to Ankara. I hope these supports will help earthquake victims to heal their wounds.”
TOTALLY 7 VEHICLES WILL BE BUY
Within the scope of the signed protocol; 11 for the provision of hot meals to be used in the regions where the earthquake survivors who were victims of the earthquake affecting 2 provinces are located, in the disaster coordination campuses belonging to ABB, in other provinces where the disaster took place in case of another disaster, and in the places where earthquake survivors who migrated to Ankara as a result of the earthquakes stay or receive treatment. A total of 3 vehicles will be purchased, including full-frame TIR, 2 half-frame TIR, and 7 soup warmer vehicles.
In addition, these vehicles will be designed in such a way that they can prepare and heat food in disaster areas, and supply, preparation, distribution and presentation, operation and inspection operations will be carried out within the scope of catering services.
