This outstanding library, which contains the works of General Turkish History, Turkish Political History, Seljuk and Ottoman History, and the Republican period, also contains many domestic and foreign resources that bear the traces of the genocide. I invite all scientists from around the world to our research center, which contains nearly 20 archival documents on the Armenian issue and the Muslim-Turkish Genocide.”

“ARCHIVE IF YOU SAY ARCHIVE, DOCUMENT IF YOU WANT A DOCUMENT…”

Metropolitan Mayor Mehmet Sekmen announced that Armenian gangs massacred 50 thousand innocent people in Erzurum and the region. Sekmen concluded his words as follows: “Armenian gangs are in the East, in Erzurum, Cinis, Tazegül, Alaca and Ilıca, Tepeköy, Dutçu, Yanıkdere, Karskapı, Osman Ağa. and Mürsel Paşa mansions, Firdevsoğlu Barracks, Yeşilyayla, Hasankale, Timar, Köprüköy and Horasan. There are documents of the massacres in many foreign archives, including Turkish archives in our Erzurum Turkish-Armenian Relations Research Center and in all historical institutions in our country. See, when American General James Harbord came to Erzurum on September 25, 1919, while he was visiting Ezirmikli Osman Ağa and Mürsel Pasha mansions, Karskapı and Yanıkdere, he saw the atrocities committed by the Armenian gangs against the Muslim-Turkish people and said, 'How could the servants of Jesus commit such a massacre? ' he confessed. In the meantime, I hereby once again refer to the statements made by the Armenian diaspora and the United States regarding the so-called Armenian genocide.” After the speeches, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Turkish-Armenian Relations Research Center and Prof. Dr. Erol Kürkçüoğlu Library was opened.
