After Almaty, Samarkand and Aktobe airports in Central Asia, TAV Technologies started to serve in Azerbaijan's Heydar Aliyev Airport.

“Slot Coordination and Management System (SCMS)” and “Travel Document Authorization System (TDAS)” solutions developed by TAV Technologies, a subsidiary of TAV Airports, will be used at Haydar Aliyev Airport in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. With the “SCMS” solution, the efficiency of slot allocation and management processes at the airport will be increased, and passport and travel document control will be fully automated and digitalized with “TDAS”.

TAV Technologies General Manager M. Kerem Öztürk said, “This project represents our first venture in Azerbaijan, which is an important milestone for our company. I believe that our advanced technology systems will contribute to the digitalization of Heydar Aliyev Airport, improve operational efficiency and increase passenger satisfaction.”

Samir Rzayev, First Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), said, “The cooperation between Heydar Aliyev Airport and TAV Technologies will offer new possibilities for using advanced technologies to improve passenger service quality and optimize operational efficiency. This partnership will also facilitate the implementation of advanced security systems, increase airport security measures and ensure the smooth running of passenger services.”

Haydar Aliyev Airport, which serves as the home base for Azerbaijan's national airline, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), has been selected as the best airport in its region many times. Finally, Skytrax was awarded in the category of “Best Regional Airport in Central Asia/CIS” at the 2023 World Airport Awards and was also nominated for two consecutive years in the category of “Best Airport Staff in Central Asia and the CIS”.

“Slot Coordination and Management System (SCMS)” and “Travel Document Control System (TDAS)” developed by TAV Technologies, which provides advanced airport technology solutions, contribute to the improvement of airline and passenger services at airports. “SCMS” enables airport slot coordinators and capacity planners to meet capacity management requirements in full compliance with IATA standards, while “TDAS” provides fast and efficient security checkpoint verification and comprehensive statistics that help the airport predict future passenger volume.
