there is democracy here

Emphasizing that Pako Stray Animals Social Life Campus is an unprecedented facility in the world, the President Tunç Soyer“This is a special place. It's not about the amount of investment made. There is democracy here. Our municipality did not say 'this is my job, I will do the best'. On the contrary, the municipality management came together with animal friends. That's what makes this place special. This is what Turkey should set an example for. During the first year at the center, my friends succeeded in this job. We will do much more. My job is to overcome any problem. The idea and the project are correct. The point is to pave the way for the project,” he said.

1 month old Hery also got her owner

Seda Yentürk, who moved to Istanbul for business purposes, adopted a dog named Hery, one of the residents of Pako Stray Animals Social Life Campus, during the visit of President Soyer. Yentürk said, “My friends live here and that's why I know Pako. I submitted a paperwork and it was accepted. When she was only one month old, Hery was brought to the facility by ambulance and was treated. We met Hery here. This place is even more beautiful than I expected. It's a beautiful feeling. We formed a beautiful bond. I am so happy. His first vaccinations were also here. I never wanted to get a dog. I always wanted to own it. Animals should not be traded,” she said.
