Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum announced that the regulations regarding motocouriers were published in the Official Gazette in his post on his official social media account. Minister Murat Kurum announced on his official social media account that the Regulation on the Amendment of the Spatial Plans Construction Regulation, which brought legal regulation on motorcycle couriers by the Ministry, entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette.

We currently have 250 thousand motor courier in Istanbul. These brothers and sisters are doing a very important service for our comfort and welfare. They earn a living, they struggle with sweat. Especially in metropolitan cities, motorcouriers trying to use their vehicles in heavy traffic will have areas where they can rest on the side of the road and the safety in vehicle driving will be increased. A transportation traffic study will be mandatory. If appropriate, an area of 1-2 meters will be reserved for each vehicle on the side of the road. Motocouriers will be able to rest, park or charge their motorcycles in the areas created for them on the roadside.
