Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, “Our goal in 2023 is to open public education centers that serve our disabled brothers and sisters in all 920 districts in Turkey.” said.

Minister Özer met with the disabled and their families in the program held in Altınordu district of Ordu on the occasion of the Disability Week.

Minister Özer, in his speech here, stated that for the first time, disabled citizens started to meet with education and employment by going out of the house and stated that the General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance Services of the Ministry of National Education meets the education needs of disabled citizens and those in need of special education.

Noting that as of now, 300 thousand students continue to receive education in schools as special education students, 420 thousand of which are integrated, Özer underlined that they fully finance all services in this field as the state.

Stating that they did something more for their “special siblings” this year, Özer said, “Previously, there was no educational institution for our disabled siblings who were over the age of 18. Under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan Hanım, the first one was held in Istanbul. KadıköyWe opened in: Disabled Public Education Center. We opened a center for our fully disabled adult brothers and sisters where they can take public education courses.” he said.

Minister Özer stated that these disabled people were taken from their homes free of charge and brought to the public education center.

Noting that they moved the project to 81 centers in 112 provinces, Özer said, “Our goal in 2023 is to open public education centers serving our disabled brothers and sisters in all 920 districts in Turkey. We are at your service with all the means of our state under the leadership of our President. said.

Özer stated that they will soon bring Turkey's largest special education campus, which will include a special education kindergarten, a special education vocational school, a special education practice school, and a public education center for adults, to Ordu in the near future.

Minister of National Education Özer then visited the patients hospitalized in Ordu Training and Research Hospital and Ordu State Hospital.
