Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality started to work in the past months due to the inadequacy of the existing Osmangazi Bridge in Darica to meet the traffic expectations. The works started to build another bridge next to the existing bridge were accelerated. With the second bridge to be added, access to Aşiroğlu Street and the industrial areas in the region will be made safer and more comfortable.

PILE MANUFACTURING STARTED

Within the scope of the works, the teams of the Department of Science Affairs are producing bored piles as part of the foundation works for the feet of the new bridge. While the foundation excavations of the bridge piers were carried out, 5 bored piles were manufactured.

CONNECTION ROAD WILL BE TURNED INTO 2X2

Within the scope of Darıca Osmangazi Bridge Replication and Connection Roads Construction Work, the connection road of Aşiroğlu Street and Osmangazi Tunnel Junction on the D-100 Highway will be turned into a 2×2 road. Marmaray Osmangazi Train Station will be crossed by a bridge over the TCDD line. Within the scope of the works, a 205-meter-long 7-span bridge will be built. In addition, connection roads with a length of 280 meters will be built. In addition, 342 meters of earthen wall, drinking water, waste water and rain water lines, pavement and parquet works will be done.

97 BORED PILE

205 bored piles will be driven for the 7-meter-long 97-span bridge. A thousand 30 cubic meters of pre-stressed beam, thousand 255 tons of ribbed iron will be used. For the connection roads, 3 tons of PMT, 500 tons of PMAT, 2 tons of binder, 500 tons of bituminous foundation and 550 tons of abrasion asphalt will be laid. For the pedestrian sidewalks, 975 thousand square meters of parquet, 235 thousand 3 meters of borders and 2 thousand 350 meters of median borders will be manufactured.
