In the January-March period, chicken egg production increased by 3,8% compared to the same period of the previous year; chicken meat production decreased by 2,5%, the number of slaughtered chickens decreased by 6,1% and turkey meat production decreased by 9,2%.
Chicken meat production, which was 176 thousand 236 tons in the previous month, increased by 13,5% in March and became 199 thousand 950 tons.
Chicken egg production, which was 1 billion 613 million 799 thousand units in the previous month, increased by 7% in March and became 1 billion 726 million 837 thousand units.
