Ereğli and Karapınar districts were also included in the swimming trainings organized by Konya Metropolitan Municipality for the 3rd grade students of primary school in Meram and Karatay within the scope of the “Let Anyone Who Cannot Swim” Project. More than 2 students attend the trainings, which attract attention in both districts.

Organized by “Sports Konya”, a part of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, for primary school 3rd grade students, the organization has started its activities in Ereğli and Karapınar districts after the center Karatay and Meram.
OVER 2 THOUSAND STUDENTS PARTICIPATE
The trainings, in which students show great interest, are held in Semi-Olympic Indoor Swimming Pools, which Konya Metropolitan Municipality brought to Ereğli and Karapınar.
The project, in which a total of 24 students from 1.600 schools in Ereğli and 11 students from 500 schools in Karapınar registered, will continue for six weeks in the company of expert trainers.
The children who registered for the project used during swimming; Equipment such as bags, bonnets and towels are given to students free of charge by the Metropolitan Municipality.
