88 percent of the Black Sea's First 'Science Center and Planetarium' Construction Has Been Completed

88 percent of the 'Science Center and Planetarium' construction, which will be brought to Samsun by the Metropolitan Municipality and will be the first in the Black Sea Region, has been completed. Stating that the construction of a project that is very important for children and young people is continuing rapidly, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “We are implementing projects that will carry Samsun to the future in every field. Now, our country has become a country that does not use technology, but produces and designs technology and does this with innovative, that is, science-based technologies," he said.
The construction of the Black Sea Region's first Science Center and Planetarium project, which was brought to the city by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in the Samsun-Ordu Highway Gelemen location, continues at full speed. The project, which has an area of ​​12 thousand square meters, will be the best in Turkey with its state-of-the-art technological infrastructure. Within the project, 88 percent of the construction of which has been completed; Every detail has been specially designed for young people who are interested in science, technology and innovation.

EVERYONE FROM 7 TO 70 WILL BE INTERESTED

When it is put into service, every opportunity will be provided for the young people to get to know themselves, realize their dreams, design and produce in the center, which will be of interest to everyone from 7 to 70. In addition, the center, which will create a living space such as a botanical garden, shopping center and hotel, will make a great contribution to the education life of children in their own fields, especially in the education age. The building will also include a meeting room where training seminars can be held and an exhibition area where domestic and international exhibitions will be held.

Stating that the construction of a very important project, especially for children and young people, continues rapidly, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “We are implementing projects that will carry Samsun to the future in every field. Now, our country has become a country that does not use technology, but produces and designs technology and does this with innovative, science-based technologies. Our most important asset is our people. We see the investment in generations as an investment in the future of our country. We carry out numerous studies for our youth to grow up and be very successful in the fields of sports, education, culture, art and science.”

The 'Science Center and Planetarium', which will be the first in the Black Sea region, is one of those works. It will open a different horizon for our youth, children and everyone living in Samsun. The construction of the project is progressing rapidly. We reached 88 percent physical realization. We plan to finish the construction and put it into service as soon as possible.”
