The market size of drones, which are used in many sectors from delivery to defense, from cinema to agriculture, reached 2022 billion dollars at the end of 30. One of the rapidly growing markets with the development of internet of things technologies was the unmanned aerial vehicle sector. It is known that the market consisting of drones, which are called drones and used in many fields from package delivery to defense, from cinema and film shooting to agricultural land control, has completed 2022 with a size of 30 billion dollars, while the market is 30 billion dollars in 2030 with a compound growth of 260% every year. 9 months of R&D studies have come to an end

Data from global consulting firm McKinsey revealed that more than 2019 commercial drone deliveries were made between 2022 and 660. Noting that drones will find more and more use in the coming years, both at the end-user and industrial level, Metayıldız Informatics Founder Sedat Ocakcı said: We increased the number of our employees. Apart from our R&D center in İzmir, we have allocated 1 floors of our 250-storey building, which we rented and redesigned for the operation of 6 companies under the roof of Metayıldız, with an investment of nearly 5 million TL, for drone-focused R&D studies and drone production. We completed the test work of our first domestic drone, whose software, design and technical equipment were signed by Metayıldız engineers, in a short period of 2 months. We are counting the days to start mass production.”

Contacts with Azerbaijan and Kenya continue

Stating that exports are among their priority targets, Sedat Ocakcı said, “We aim to export to all over the world with drone solutions that can be customized for different purposes, and we want to bring Turkey's technology from Izmir to the world. The drones, which we will start production in a short time, can be used for long-term shooting, observation and exploration. In this context, we had contacts with the Ministry of Defense of Kenya and Azerbaijan. We also continue our work on Montenegro, which is among our target markets.”

“We will be the first metaverse company in Turkey to be offered to the public”

Reminding that they aim to specialize in augmented and virtual reality fields, which are better understood to offer immense possibilities with the popularity of Metaverse technology and provide a potential infrastructure for many projects, Metayıldız Founder Sedat Ocakcı said, “The experience areas we have established with VR glasses are used by different organizations today. For example, students studying psychology at one of our universities make their first meeting with patients during the pre-internship period after graduation, with VR glasses, the software of which is completely developed by Metayıldız. We are in talks with different educational institutions in order to put into practice the similar applications of this application, which also receives support from important institutions. On the other hand, the metaverse experience areas established by Metayıldız at 2 important locations in Çeşme last year were met with intense interest from the visitors. As Metayıldız, our goal is to be the first public offering company in Turkey in the metaverse field. With our IT, technology and R&D investments, we act with the goal of being one of the few companies in our country in sectors such as the defense industry, renewable energy and virtual reality.”
