According to the data of the National Energy Administration of China, the power capacity newly connected to the wind energy grid in China in the first quarter of this year reached 10 million 400 thousand kW. Renewable energy development was achieved by accelerating the construction of large-scale wind and photovoltaic power plants, hydroelectric projects and pumped storage projects across the country.
In this period, the average usage rate of wind energy was around 96,8 percent and remained almost at the same level compared to the same period last year. In addition, wind energy investments increased by 15 percent to 24,9 billion yuan.
In the January-March period, the newly increased renewable energy installed power in China reached 86,5 million 47 thousand kilowatts with an annual increase of 400 percent, making up 80,3 percent of the newly increased total energy installed power throughout the country.
