The third meeting of the electricity distribution sector, coordinated by the General Directorate of TEDAŞ, was held at the Ankara Bilkent Hotel and Conference Center, hosted by Osmangazi Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (OEDAŞ). At the meeting where the launch of the "Electrical Fault Tracking Application", which was integrated into the "Lighting Mobile Tracking Application" implemented in 2019, allowing the notification and tracking of electrical faults via the application; issues such as energy supply security and measures taken during the election process, preparedness for disasters and emergencies, effects and consequences of earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, call centers satisfaction survey, headmen's access to DISCOMs, occupational health and safety statistics, electricity network investments and improvements in regions, and SPP projects. It was discussed.

The “III. Distribution Sector Meeting”, on Monday, May 8, Osmangazi Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (OEDAŞ) was held in Ankara Bilkent Hotel and Conference Center.

Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Mr. Abdullah Tancan, General Directorate of Energy Affairs, Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA), General Directorate of Turkish Electricity Distribution Inc. (TEDAŞ), attended by Mr. Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, via video conference. , Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ) General Directorate, Electricity Distribution Services Association (ELDER) and representatives of 21 electricity distribution companies serving throughout Turkey were present at the meeting, where the 2022 works of the electricity distribution sector and the stage reached in 2023 planning were evaluated.

Energy supply security and measures taken were discussed in the election.

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Dönmez, emphasizing the measures taken by the Ministry and Distribution Companies in order for the elections to be held in a reliable manner, said, “As the Ministry, we are carrying out joint work with all our institutions and organizations so that all our voters can cast their votes safely on 14 May. In these processes, urgent maintenance works were carried out on the network elements feeding critical points, especially the Supreme Election Board, provincial and district vote collection centers, election boards and courthouses. The operational status and equipment controls of the general lighting facilities, which are also at critical points, have been completed. The conditions of all generators registered in our inventory were determined and necessary maintenance and repair operations were carried out. In addition, our generators were distributed to our operation centers considering critical points. We have also taken the necessary precautions against cyber attacks. We made SCADA and communication infrastructure checks. On the election day, we requested support from our General Directorate of Security for critical areas. We determined the number of breakdown team personnel to be assigned on the election day and created crisis centers. We regularly monitor meteorological data. On the electricity side, both our Ministry and our distribution companies have completed their preparations for the election to be completed safely. Hopefully, we will complete the election process without any problems.” said.

Electric fault tracking application was launched

At the meeting, the launch of the "Electrical Failure Notification Application", which was integrated with the Lighting Mobile Tracking Application, which was implemented in 2019, allowing the notification and follow-up of electrical faults via the application was also carried out.

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Dönmez, who also provided information on the Electricity Failure Notification Application, said, “With the contributions of ELDER, the Lighting Mobile Tracking Application, which has shown great interest to the citizens since the day it was put into use, and enables the resolution of hundreds of thousands of lighting notifications as soon as possible, has been announced. Its version, which has been converted into a “Notice Application”, will now ensure that electrical faults are resolved as soon as possible.

After the development and integration of the Lighting Mobile Tracking Application by our TEDAŞ General Directorate, our citizens, apart from lighting failures; It will also be able to perform operations such as notifying about power cuts and power failures, following up and querying the notice, adding subscribers and installations through this application.” used the phrases.

31 electricity distribution workers lost their lives in the earthquake

Expressing his sadness at the loss of 31 employees working in electricity distribution companies serving in the disaster area during the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, Mr. Dönmez said, “On February 6, we experienced a great earthquake disaster that deeply injured our country and all of us. In the earthquakes that suffocated our country, our industry successfully fulfilled its part and passed an important test. Our 17 distribution companies, which were not affected by the earthquake, worked with great solidarity and devotion to re-energize the regions affected by the earthquake, as an example in the field. Our teams have endured all the hardships away from their homes and loved ones for a long time. Although the employees of the distribution companies in the earthquake area were victims of the earthquake, they still did not interrupt their work. I personally witnessed all of this happening in the field. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks once again to all our electricity distribution companies and their employees.

We deeply feel the pain of our electricity distribution company employees who lost their lives in the earthquake. I would like to express my condolences to ELDER, Toroslar EDAŞ, AKEDAŞ, Fırat EDAŞ and Dicle EDAŞ, which provides electricity distribution services in the region, and to all stakeholders of our sector, especially the families of our employees. On this occasion, I wish God's mercy once again to our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake. Condolences to our beloved nation. I hope that God will not experience such pain again.” said.

Citizen-oriented quality and effective service

Minister Dönmez, who stated that a citizen-oriented, high-quality, effective and efficient service approach is among their priority goals, said: Noting that the General Satisfaction Score of Turkey, which was measured as 2022 points in April 52, and the Satisfaction Score for Turkey, which was measured as 2023 points in April 62 and as 2022 points in April, 69, was measured as 186 points in April 2023, this increase in both categories is reflected in the citizen-oriented studies. He stated that this is an indication that our distribution companies are taking the necessary care in this regard.

Also, Mr. Dönmez; He stated that in order to increase citizen satisfaction, a "WhatsApp Hotline" was defined for our mukhtars, special lines were provided and they were given priority in accessing call centers.

Emergency measures were also discussed.

In the first part of the morning session of the meeting, which took place in four sessions, the Fault Notification Application was launched and the results of the EDAŞ call center satisfaction survey, the headmen's access to the call centers, the network investment ceiling and realizations for 2022, the rural network investment realizations, and the planned maintenance realizations were evaluated. In the second part, which started with the evaluation of village/rural distribution facilities and village/rural transformer post improvement works, project approval, final acceptance and GES call letters applications for 2022 were evaluated.

In the afternoon sessions, LED luminaire usage targets and realizations, TEDAŞ integration of maintenance tracking systems, company-based OSOS performance values, occupational health and safety statistics and II.
