Antalya Metropolitan Municipality will carry out road widening work on the Cırnik Bridge in order to solve the traffic jam. One more lane will be expanded towards the direction of the bridge going to the airport.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality continues to produce point solutions for areas stuck in traffic in order to provide citizens with a comfortable and comfortable transportation. The Metropolitan Municipality started a reorganization work on the Cırnik Bridge on the Serik Street Düden Stream, which connects the east and the west of Antalya. Currently, the traffic flow of 2 lanes in total, 1 lanes from the direction of going from the Democracy Junction to the Alanya direction on Serik Caddesi, 2 lane from the direction of Aspendos Boulevard and 5 lanes from the at-grade intersection, drops to 40 lanes on the Cirnik Bridge in a short distance of 3 meters. Traffic jams occur from time to time due to the fact that the road falls from 5 lanes to 3 lanes on the Cırnik Bridge and some drivers make right turns to go in the direction of Lara.

WORKS WILL BE FINISHED SHORTLY

With the Serik Street Road Arrangement Project to be made in this context, the Cırnik Bridge will be expanded. In line with the decision taken by the Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME), it was decided to widen the road in the direction of Cırnik Bridge, since Serik Street has 4 lanes and it is not possible to expand the existing road towards the tram line. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality teams started to work in line with the permissions obtained from the Antalya Cultural Heritage Preservation Regional Directorate. One more lane will be extended towards the bridge airport direction.
