240 firefighters, who have just started working within the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and have completed 82 hours of on-the-job training, which also includes exercises that do not look for the truth, started to work. Meeting with Bursa's new flame fighters, Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş stated that they are constantly making reinforcements for the fire brigade in line with the needs of Bursa, which is growing day by day, and wished the new firefighters success in their duties.

The fire brigade, which constitutes the most vital service area of the municipalities in terms of protecting the life and property safety of the citizens, continues to give confidence to the people of Bursa with its services. The Fire Brigade Department, which has been continuously strengthened in line with the needs of the Metropolitan Municipality in terms of team and equipment, has added 82 new firefighters to its structure. Responding to an average of 9 fires and 19 incidents per year, the Fire Brigade Department successfully completed 240 hours of on-the-job training for new personnel. In the theoretical and practical training, the new firefighters, who were subjected to physical endurance tests and showed their skills, also saw the incidents they might encounter in the field as one-on-one.

This work is heart work.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş also met with the new firefighters at the orientation training organized by the Department of Human Resources and Training for the training of candidate civil servants. Stating that the existing 28 fire stations will become stronger with new firefighters, Mayor Aktaş said, “If you ask young children, none of them will say, 'I will work in real estate expropriation in the municipality'. If you ask about the municipality, most of them will say 'I will be a fireman'. Because you are doing a really important job. This work is heart work and it is done in the field. Although your training is complete, the way of intervention may change depending on the place, time, situation, conditions and weather. I wish that even one of you can complete this process without a nosebleed. The vehicles, machinery and equipment you use are all entrusted to you. We expect you to take care of this relic. Good job to all of you," he said.

At the end of the program, Oğuzhan Kıvrak who completed the training first, Hüseyin Batuhan Küçük who completed the second place and Furkan Gümüşoluk who completed the third place were given plaques.
