ASPİLSAN Energy Adds Strength to Turkey's Energy Sector with Exports

Established in Kayseri in 1981 with the donations of philanthropists, ASPİLSAN Energy has been meeting the long-lasting battery needs of the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and the private sector in the field of energy for 42 years. ASPİLSAN Energy, which also sends the lithium ion batteries it produces and batteries abroad, aims to export 15 million dollars by the end of the year.

ASPİLSAN Energy exports its products to different countries as well as meeting the energy needs of the TAF with the batteries and batteries produced in the lithium-ion battery facility established 1,5 years ago with an investment of approximately 2 billion liras.

In the factory, approximately 400 lithium-ion cylindrical batteries and Ni-Cd (nickel cadmium) batteries and robotic system batteries used in radio, night vision system, mixer system, anti-tank system and minesweeper-bomb destruction, missile and guidance kits, and anti-torpedo batteries are approximately XNUMX. manufactures various battery systems.

Ferhat Özsoy, General Manager of ASPİLSAN Energy, said in his statement that after starting the production of lithium ion batteries in 2022, they opened up to the world with exports.

Stating that they exported their first batteries to Germany and the Netherlands, Özsoy said that they later received orders from Middle Eastern countries.

Emphasizing that they have started to transform into a global company, Özsoy said, “Our marketing processes for our battery packs continue. We think that this will continue to increase in the coming days.” said.

Expressing that they started to export to Eastern European countries, Özsoy said, “The feature of this export is the sale of our shelf type batteries, which we call battery packs. This product of ours is at a level that can compete with the world, it is of high quality and it is more qualified than its peers in tests.” he said.

Özsoy stated that the support provided by Turkcell and Türk Telekom to the batteries used in the base stations is important and this adds additional strength to their exports.

“We aim to export 15 million dollars this year”

Noting that the factory is a strategic facility, Özsoy said: “We started to sell our battery, whose intellectual and industrial property rights belong to us, to technologically advanced countries such as Germany and the Netherlands. Now we are starting to sell our battery packs. This means that we are now able to technologically design, produce and sell not only the cell but also the battery packs that combine them. In our next roadmap, we aim to reach an export volume of approximately 15 million dollars for this year. We aim to sell our products, especially on the export side, in all sectors ranging from vehicle batteries to mobile phones.”
