Acoustic Technologies Sharing Day was held under the coordination and hosting of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB). To the event; Representatives of SSB, ASELSAN, Turkish Armed Forces and other institutions, organizations, universities and companies in the sector participated. The aforementioned information was shared within the scope of a Bulletin published by ASELSAN.
Within the framework of the program, the participants were informed about the Low Frequency Active Sonar System Development (DUFAS) Project developed by ASELSAN and the place of the technologies developed in the project in the literature, the current situation in our country and in the world, application areas and working principles. SSB Vice President and ASELSAN Board Member Mustafa Murat Şeker, ASELSAN Defense System Technologies (SST) Sector President and Deputy General Manager Behcet Karataş and ASELSAN R&D Management Deputy General Manager Prof. Dr. Sezai Elagöz also attended.
Acoustic Technologies Sharing Day started with an informative presentation on the projects carried out by the SSB R&D and Technology Management Department Sensor Projects Directorate. Then, a presentation was made by ASELSAN, including the DÜFAS system, which has a long detection range and thus enables the detection of underwater targets earlier, and which was developed with domestic and national facilities, its sub-components and the critical technologies that were worked on during the development process.
Within the scope of the DÜFAS Project, ARMELSAN and NANOTECH companies, which are the main subcontractors of ASELSAN, also conveyed their work within the scope of the project to the participants. Acoustic Technologies Sharing Day was concluded with the closing speech of Mustafa Murat Şeker, SSB Vice President and ASELSAN Board Member, emphasizing the strategic importance of acoustic technologies.
