Continuing its rural development move in order to increase domestic production and revive the capital's economy, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality now provides vegetable seedlings to farmers in all 25 districts of the Capital.
The Rural Services Department has started to bring together approximately 75 million 25 thousand vegetable seedlings with the producers, 14 percent of which is grant and 23 percent is farmer's contribution.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality contributes to the revitalization of both the capital and the country's economy with the supports that prioritize rural development.
The Metropolitan Municipality Rural Services Department, which distributed 9.5 million vegetable seedlings to farmers in the capital city last year, started the distribution of 14 million 23 thousand vegetable seedlings to be distributed to farmers this year in Ayaş district.

ABB President Mansur Yavaş, who has signed projects that set an example for Turkey with the rural development move he started in the capital, shared the following on his social media accounts:
“Our support continues to promote domestic production, develop our producers and contribute to our economy. We have started to distribute approximately 25 million 75 thousand vegetable seedlings to our producers in all 25 districts, 14 of which is grant and 23 percent is farmer contribution.
75 PERCENT GRANT 25 PERCENT FARMER CONTRIBUTION
In order to increase rural development in the capital and to support local producers, vegetable seedlings will be distributed in all 75 districts, with 25 percent grant and 25 percent farmer contribution.
The farmers who benefited from the seedling support expressed their satisfaction with the following words:
- İdris Dursun: “I have been a producer for a long time. It gives us our diesel, it gives our liquid fertilizer, it gives our seedlings… Better than that, it gives health to life… I bought it last year and I am very satisfied with the seedlings.”
-Halil İbrahim Aslan: “I bought seedlings last year, and I am getting them this year as well. The products turn out very well. I also benefit from diesel, fertilizer and many supports. I would like to thank Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.”
-Mustafa Demir: “I bought tomatoes last year, I got a lot of yield. I also bought diesel, it helped my budget a lot.”
-Mustafa Duran: “I plant, I produce, I am very satisfied. I will produce and sell with my own means.”

-Yücel Kesik: “Tomato is first quality, yield was very good. We are very happy with this support.”
-Muharrem Kalaycı: “I benefit from the diesel, barley and fertilizer supports. I have seen a lot of benefits. It contributes to our expenses. It has helped us to do better business, to increase our income and to keep our business running smoothly. I also received clover support, and I was very pleased.”
