Istanbul will celebrate the arrival of spring with the IMM's Hıdırellez Festival. Yenikapı Event Area will host colorful events and magnificent concerts. Dance shows and competitions will be organized, spring swings and workshops will be set up, and playgrounds will be created. Suzan Kardeş, Traveller, Ahır Kapı Grand Roman Orchestra and Dzambo Agusevi Orchestra will bring spring enthusiasm to Istanbulites with their popular repertoires and lively tunes.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) will keep the thousands of years of Hıdırellez tradition alive in Yenikapı Event Area. From 5 on 16.00 May, activities, concerts and colorful competitions will be held. All symbols of the tradition, from the Wishing Tree to the Hıdırellez Fire, will be visible at the event.
İSTANBULLERS WILL ENJOY THE TIME
From the opening of the door, workshops will be set up where everyone, big or small, will enjoy their time. Workshops such as painting, flower crown, henna, origami spring flowers will host Istanbulites of all ages. Nostalgic competitions will also be held in the event area throughout the day. There will be sack and tug-of-war races. In addition to free treats such as popcorn and cotton candy, food and beverage and souvenir stands will take their place in the area. Giant spring globe decorated with flowers and swings decorated with spring branches will create a magnificent photo area for visitors.
TRADITION WILL FIND IT'S PLACE
Fair playgrounds will host sweet competitions. Dart and ring shooting, limbo game and ping pong ball shooting will be the scene of the competition of skillful hands. Those who wish can write their wishes on the wish trees. The event will also find its place in tradition. The great fire representing Hıdırellez will be lit and those who wish will be able to jump over it.
NON-STOP FUN
The action in the field will not slow down. DJ Music performances will be held from the moment of opening. Suzan Kardeş, Traveller, Ahır Kapı Grand Roman Orchestra and Dzambo Agusevi Orchestra will bring spring enthusiasm to Istanbulites with their acclaimed works.
